Why this matters

360CustomerRemoteAccess Premium is the upgrade tier for power users whose remote workflow is bound to a multi-monitor setup. Your 360SmartIT Department subscription already includes 360CustomerRemoteAccess (NinjaOne Remote-based) — every user can reach their own office computer from anywhere, designated managers can reach multiple or all company computers, with single-monitor full-screen view (multi-monitor remote computers display side-by-side on one local screen). Premium is the tier you upgrade to when a user needs true multi-monitor mapping — two office monitors mapped to two home monitors, one to one, the way you sit in front of the office computer. Premium is built on the fully-paid Splashtop tier. Same security hardening, MFA, session logging, AISA lifecycle as the included tier. Priced per user.

Who buys this

  • Power users (analysts, traders, designers, engineers) whose work environment relies on two or three monitors used simultaneously
  • Architects, engineers, designers running specialized software where reference panels and the work canvas live on different monitors
  • Hybrid teams where a subset of users genuinely need multi-monitor parity at home with what they have in the office
  • Anyone who tried single-monitor remote access and found the constant alt-tab between virtual screens unsustainable

What is included

In every 360CustomerRemoteAccess Premium subscription.

  • Per-computer fully-paid Splashtop Business license with goCloudOffice security hardening profile
  • True multi-monitor remote access (each remote monitor → its own local monitor)
  • MFA-enforced access at the application layer (not just network)
  • Session logging + audit trail (compliance evidence pipeline)
  • AISA-driven provisioning + offboarding (deactivation in minutes when a computer leaves the fleet)
  • Hardware compatibility validation

How we deliver

The operating shape, end to end.

01

Per-user Premium provisioning

Each Premium user gets a fully-paid Splashtop Business license under your goCloudOffice hardening profile. AISA provisions in minutes, not days.

02

True multi-monitor mapping

Each remote monitor maps to its own local monitor — sit at home with two screens, see your office computer's two screens, one to one. NinjaOne Remote (the included tier) does not yet support this; Premium does.

03

MFA enforced at the application layer

Every session requires MFA — no exceptions, no workarounds. Authentication is at Splashtop, not just the network, so a stolen network credential is not enough.

04

Session logging + audit trail

Every session captured: who, when, from where, to which device, for how long. Compliance-ready by default; same audit pipeline as the included tier.

05

AISA-driven lifecycle

When a Premium user offboards from the goCloudOffice portal, the Splashtop license deactivates within minutes — no manual cleanup, no orphaned access.

Education

What you should actually understand before buying.

We sell a lot of these. The buyers who are happiest two years in are the ones who understood the why before they signed. So here is the why.

Included tier vs. Premium — when to upgrade

360CustomerRemoteAccess (NinjaOne Remote-based, included in 360SmartIT Department) is right for the majority of users — single-monitor view of the remote computer, multi-monitor remote computers shown side-by-side on one local screen. Premium is the upgrade for users whose work genuinely needs each remote monitor on its own local monitor — two office monitors → two home monitors, mapped one-to-one. We typically deploy Premium for 5-15% of a customer's end-user population (the power users) and leave the rest on the included tier. The difference is workflow, not security; both tiers carry the same hardening profile, MFA, and audit trail.

Why not VPN + RDP for these users

VPN + RDP technically supports multi-monitor, but the user-experience overhead does not scale: every user becomes a help-desk customer the first time their VPN client misbehaves, the first time the Windows credentials drift, the first time RDP's session-host quirks surface. Splashtop-class remote access is purpose-built for end-user remote-control: simpler client, better latency under variable internet conditions, MFA at the access layer rather than the network layer, no Windows credential management exposed to the user.

Why not pay for Splashtop directly

You can. The bundled goCloudOffice version adds: MFA enforcement (default-on, no admin can disable per user), session logging into our central audit pipeline (so it shows up in compliance evidence), AISA-managed lifecycle (auto-deprovision when the user offboards from the goCloudOffice portal), the security hardening profile (default group policies that lock down clipboard, file transfer, etc. unless you explicitly allow), and one bill instead of two.

When this is NOT the right answer

If your users do not need the specific workstation — they just need a desktop they can sit at — give them a virtual desktop (Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365) instead. Remote access to a specific physical computer is the right tool when the work is bound to that machine (specialized software, specific hardware, sensitive data that must stay local). And if the user is fine with single-monitor view, the included 360CustomerRemoteAccess tier (already in your subscription) covers it — Premium is only the right answer when the workflow is truly multi-monitor.

Common questions

Questions buyers actually ask us.

Why is Premium an extra add-on if the base tier is included?
Splashtop's fully-paid tier (which is what enables true multi-monitor mapping) carries a per-user license cost we pass through. NinjaOne Remote (the included tier) is bundled into our NinjaOne agreement at no extra per-user charge, so we include it. Most users are fully served by the included tier, and we would rather keep Premium opt-in than charge everyone for capacity 5-15% of users actually use.
Can I mix the included tier and Premium across users?
Yes — the included 360CustomerRemoteAccess is per-computer (every managed computer has it), Premium is per-user opt-in. You upgrade only the users whose workflow needs it.
Per user — what counts?
Each named Premium user who needs the true multi-monitor mapping. The same user can reach multiple target devices on one Premium license.
Does this work outside the US?
Yes — Splashtop has global infrastructure. International session quality depends on the user's local network.
What about file transfer between local + remote?
Configurable per user. Default-off in the goCloudOffice hardening profile; can be enabled per role.
How does offboarding work?
When a user is offboarded from the goCloudOffice portal, AISA deactivates their Splashtop Premium license within minutes — no manual cleanup.
Are you transitioning away from Splashtop entirely?
Yes, gradually — NinjaOne Remote (the included 360CustomerRemoteAccess tier) is replacing Splashtop for most use cases, and we are watching NinjaOne Remote's multi-monitor roadmap closely. Premium remains available for users whose workflow requires the true multi-monitor mapping NinjaOne Remote does not yet provide. When NinjaOne Remote ships matching multi-monitor capability and the workflow is interchangeable, we will revisit whether Premium is still a separate tier.
